THESIS PROJECT
2003
A series of family trees illustrating the seven major media companies (in 2003) and their holdings. The project intended to reveal the high potential for biased news reporting due to the financial stake these companies had in the businesses they were charged to report on. The sarcastically light-hearted way in which each company is represented contrasts the dark reality of modern day journalism. Each tree was cross-stitched with a personal sewing machine on traditional cross-stitching fabric and then framed under glass.
